William J. Mann is an American author, historian, and biographer who was born on October 7, 1963. He has written several books on Hollywood history, including the New York Times bestselling biography, "Kate: The Woman Who Was Hepburn." Mann is also known for his works of fiction, such as the award-winning novel "The Men from the Boys" and the thriller "The Biograph Girl." In addition to his writing, Mann is a frequent guest on television and radio programs and has lectured at universities and cultural institutions around the world. He currently lives in Connecticut.
